Therapy is a space to pause and begin to understand this inherent truth: you are already enough, without all the outside proof. Together, we’ll dig down to your roots, lovingly tending to them to discover your voice, your truth, and your authenticity.

Meet Haylie

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Haylie O’Hanlon, LCSW, PMH-C, and I am the owner of Root & Bloom Therapy.

My mission is to provide compassionate, empowering therapy to guide you home to yourself. Having sat with clients for years as they have struggled with perfectionism, anxiety, and people-pleasing, as well as living through my own experience with those challenges, I get it. The relentless pursuit of the next goal is exhausting - the feeling of relief, rather than rejoicing, that comes from achievements, and the immediate worry about what comes next. The struggle to experience self-trust & repeatedly outsourcing validation to external sources can be maddening. It is difficult to be still when it feels like the other shoe is about to drop right when things get good.

As a mom myself, I understand what the death of that high-achieving identity feels like when you’ve lost all control of a schedule, the thought of cleaning the house AND showering feels insurmountable, and every night you fall into bed exhausted but you can’t name one productive thing you did. (Reminder: you kept a child alive. That’s damn impressive.)

On the other side of our work is the rebirth of a brand new identity - a shift into a regulated nervous system, a nourished body and mind, truly supportive and connective relationships, a sense of deep self-compassion, self-trust, and a knowing that your self-worth lies in being, not doing. I help busy, anxious, high-achieving moms break free from the constant pursuit of perfection to feel more connected, grounded, and present in their lives. Through our work together, you’ll learn to reconnect with your inner wisdom, reclaim your voice, foster more meaningful relationships, and live with greater authenticity and self-trust.

Based in Los Angeles, I provide virtual therapy throughout California. Rooted in a holistic approach, I integrate mindfulness, parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and body-based awareness to support the whole person—not just the symptoms. Together, we gently explore the patterns that keep you stuck and make lasting change. This is a space where all of you is welcome.
