Motherhood is challenging. How it impacts you is unique.

The postpartum period is difficult. It may be more difficult than you imagined it would be. Suddenly, you have a new baby to care for, but you’re struggling to still care for yourself. Between hormonal changes, the physical recovery from birth, lack of sleep, evolving relationship dynamics, and learning how to interpret the needs of your newborn - you feel lost.

Isn’t it supposed to come naturally? Aren’t we biologically hardwired for this? Why didn’t anyone tell you it would be this hard?

This process is often overwhelming and you may feel like you’re not managing it well. You may feel disconnected from yourself and frustrated with the shift in your capacity to do life as you used to. Together we will process the often dissonant emotions of postpartum, learn to create space for all of it, and navigate your new identity with your new needs and desires in a nurturing, non-judgmental space. I am here to witness this transformation, to offer strategies to cope with the wildness of it, and point you in the direction of additional supports if you need or desire them.

This experience can dig up issues that you thought you had buried.
